Great News! Although the Christmas season will look a little different this year, the Westhill Village neighbourhood has plans to spark our Christmas spirit. These are certainly tough times but we hope there's something below that you will take part in and enjoy!

Christmas Gift for the kids

Submit your request by Nov 29th and Santa's elves will deliver the gifts on Dec 5th.

NOTE: Reuests for Craft Kits can still be made through the website. Let your neighbours who might be interested know and direct them to the website. whv.c2pal.com

Christmas Decorations

Let’s make the neighbourhood sparkle! If you are decorating your house and property we ask that you consider having it completed by Dec 5th. We can wander around the neighbourhood and take in the joyful sights!

Food Donations

The West Willow Village Neighbourhood Group has a food cupboard that could really use our help. Donations can be dropped off at 3 Westhill Rd. The cupboard is short of pasta sauce, soup and breakfast cereal but anything you can share with them is most appreciated!

The People of Westhill Village have been very generous to date and the bins are starting to fill and it isn't just donations of food. Cash and Supermarket cards of up to $50.00 have been donated.. Your fellow community members thank you and appreciate your generosity during these hard times. Once again, we have proven we are a caring community. Keep up the effort.

Everything collected will be returned to the local Westhill Village and the West Willow Neighbourhood Community for those in need.

In a similar spirit, we will be collecting hats and mittens. Donations can be dropped off at 23 Westhill Rd. These donations will be delivered to a program that helps ensure everyone can be warm this winter.

Letters for Santa

Santa is coming this year! Letters for Santa can be dropped off at 2 Carey Crescent. You will find an "Official North Pole" mailbox. The deadline for Santa mail is Dec. 9th at midnight!

Canada Day 2021

This year, the Canada Day celebration continued and was a roaring success for all who attended. Since there was no barbeque this year the money that would ordinarily go that was funnelled into fireworks. In addition, since the games and contests were scaled down, the fewer contests had bigger prizes and again, the extra money left over was pushed into the fireworks.

Much to the amazement of the crowd, every single firework was a Consumer grade firework but the price reflected the quality.

Halloween Parade

Well Covid be damned, the Westhill Village managed to make the best of a bad situation. having received the warm shoutout from the people of Carey Cres Canada Day, the latest event was extended to include the entire village. Up the hill, down the hill from the North end of the Village to the South End of the village, from the Eastern Boundary to the Western Boundary, West Hill Village showed the world we know how to celebrate and how to safely enjoy community even during a pandemic.
